Pohl und Partner (or its legal predecessor) was founded over 60 years ago in 1961; PRIOR GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft was founded in 1986.

In 1961, Heinz Pohl founded the tax firm in Bad Oldesloe and since the mid-1980s, his son, tax consultant and auditor Horst-Dieter Pohl, has continued the firm - and added the auditing company PRIOR GmbH to it. Both sectors under one roof provide valuable synergies and even more useful knowledge. Marieke Pohl, Horst-Dieter Pohl's daughter, joined the firm in 2015. The business graduate, auditor (since 2022) and tax consultant has been a partner since April 2019 and brings many years of experience in IT project management.
